The Sentinel Half Tight is the result of two years of research and development, leveraging the best features of our renowned running shorts to create uncompromising tights for race day PB's and ambitious mountain adventures. Built from custom ForgeKnit™ Nylon, the Sentinel Half Tight features micro-knit, ultra-fine nylon yarns for trail-ready durability and just-right compression that keeps you comfortable and your gear firmly in place.

We tapped our friend Eric Floberg, a Chicago-based runner, photographer and filmmaker, to field test prototypes of the Sentinel Tight. The result: a tight optimized for the real-world rigors of racing—and his personal best time in the half marathon.

    Great half tights but horrible fabric pilling

    I bought these for my husband in two colors. He loves them for the comfort and pocket design. However, the fabric has not been durable at all. He’s had them for only 4 months and the fabric has pilled horribly in the crotch area. i’ve honestly never seen such bad pilling on a pair of athletic shorts. For this price, i hope you consider a different type of non-brushed fabric for longevity’s sake.

    Well made but they ride up a LOT

    I wanted to like these and was hoping to use them on a long mountain ultra I have coming up. But unfortunately they ride up on my thighs quite a bit, no matter how much I keep pulling them down they just keep riding up. For me this makes them annoying and basically unusable for anything longer than an hour or so. I'm 6'1/160 lbs with a 32" waist and my thighs are not especially thick - 21" at the thickest point and more like 18" where the bottom of the shorts sits. I am almost always a medium and that's the size I got in these.

    The fabric is quite nice, the pockets are great, I just wish they didn't ride up so much.

    The first pair had a sewing defect and they were replaced promptly and with no issues, so customer service is top notch. But unfortunately these arent going to work for me.

    I think they need to be an inch or two longer and the hem at the bottom of the thighs needs to be a bit looser, or just laser cut and eliminate the hem like some other half tights do.

    Chaffing wear and tear - 1 run

    Aloha Path Projects Team.

    I really love these shorts as they feel like great material. However, my first and only run with them so far was a 3 mile run and already experienced wear and tear in the inner thigh area as if there was a crotch blowout. The material is already thinning from one run and am scared to use them again as I don’t want more wear and tear especially for the price.

    I can also send a picture for reference. Can we do anything about this? I would appreciate if you could please arrange for a new replacement be sent to me. Pac project was introduced to me by a few of my friends. I would love to continue to keep supporting this community. Please let me know what you guys can do for me.

    Holy pockets Batman!

    The pockets are very adequate. I’m still gonna try to push capacity. They don’t rise up above knee, and seemed to handle sweat well. Gonna try them on next run longer than half marathon.
