Inspired by the extreme environments and gear requirements of pinnacle races like UTMB Mont Blanc, we engineered the Stratus Shell to punch far above its featherlight weight to supply fully waterproof, breathable protection. Powered by Toray’s Dermizax™ technical waterproof membrane, with taped seams and PFAS-free Kudos XT DWR finish for the ideal balance of reliable weather protection and breathability for peak efforts.

Trail-Tested Technicality

We dialed in the details of the Stratus over the course of two years, with field testing feedback from three real mountain athletes. Storms can sneak up in an instant, so we added a gusset to the back panel, allowing it to fit over a running pack or hydration vest. The adjustable high-coverage hood, neck protection, velcro cuffs, and droptail back provide the extra edge of protection to keep out rain, wind, and mud splatters.

Not like all the rest
And I mean that. I have a plethora of running jackets owned and worn from various other brands and the fact remains this one was thoughtfully crafted and designed for a runner. Fit is spot on. Not too loose, not too tight. Excellent feel on skin. Breathes welll. Windproof and waterproof. When phone is in pocket it’s the perfect weigh down on the jacket and keep stable. I mean I can’t come up with one disconnect. Perfect execution here. Well done Path!

Water proof and more!
If your looking for a completed waterproof comfortable and warm shell look no further! I have used this in Florida with massive rain storm a this last week and all I can say is wow! It was as advertised completely water proof and kept me warm. Sizing is spot on I’m a small in all the gear I have bought at 5-6 , 140lb. Small

Perfect for rainy training / racing
Incredibly light and waterproof! I've been using it on my daily rainy training runs here in drizzly Oregon. Very breathable with an athletic fit. exceptional quality and thoughtful design as always from Path. A must-have for rainy training, mountain packing, or carrying as required race gear since it is so light.

The Perfect, Packable Lightweight Rain Shell!
While LA doesn't get too much rainfall (thank GOD) a couple of days ago, we had a doozy of a storm. Probably the wettest, muddiest run of my life. Thankfully, I'd just gotten the Stratus and it withstood all of it, and then some. Wore it all throughout those 12 miles, kept me dry, kept me warm and it didn't interfere with my running economy one bit. Highly recommend for your go-to super lightweight but strong performing rainshell!
