The inaugural Monster 300 was relentless. It pushed Kerry Ward through 300+ miles of Sonoran desert, a rugged point-to-point journey with 41,000+ feet of elevation gain, mostly on demanding single-track. For five days, he navigated Southern Arizona’s iconic backcountry, enduring scorching days and freezing nights where the desert’s unique subtropical moisture creates vibrant ecosystems amid extreme aridity.
