Best piece of advice: you are your own best coachālisten to your body.
Best advice for running is to set a goal and move toward it without it becoming your identity. Find joy in the journey and grind. Work on your overall fitness, not just how much pounding your legs can take.
Long time runner here, a major key to improvement is core strength. If you want to improve running and running longevity, find new ways to strengthen your core and interface with your body (yoga helps a lot!). If you donāt think you need to improve your core, then you DEFINITELY need do!
Graves PX 5" Shorts & Torch FX 3ā liner
As I have gotten back into running and lost 50lbs the things that have helped me the most through the process are: Going longer than I think I can by using a walk/run strategy, entering events way over my head than grinding it out, and using quality gear.
Every day and every race is different. The 50k you ran in December in the Pacific Northwest had different needs than the 50k you run summer. Be aware of that not only for race day, but in training as well. Always be prepared for anything and everything.
Best advice is to listen to your body if you need to take a rest day do it! The last thing you want to do is overtrain or even push yourself, your body to a uncomfortable feeling. I have been running for just a year now and hearing different techniques from hydration/nutrition to workouts and form Really Helps! Everything helps at the end when you take the time to work on it and you disciplined your self.
Hoping to pick up another pair of graves 7ā or the green Henley. Canāt go wrong! Best advice I ever got was get comfortable going slower. I needed to increase my miles more than I need to lose 10 seconds off of my 5k pr. Being okay with people seeing me run even slower than normal was key for me increasing my range and it impacted my shorter run times better than I expected.
Best advice? Donāt quit. Donāt sleep in or skip the evening run. Donāt listen to your brain telling you that you can stop before you hit your goal. Donāt quit adding a little more distance or a little quicker pace. Just donāt quit!
Best info I have received and implemented from cach Nate is to take smaller strides so as not to overeach. Started working with the metronome to get the cadance right. What a differce it has made to my run
Itās great to have watches and gadgets to log your run. Donāt forget to take time to enjoy being outside and your entire run in general!
Just be patient and consistently pays off!
I would get a couple pairs of the new Graves PX 5 inch shorts and a new running cap!
Advice-just keep running
Mx hooded shirt and a hat for sure
skyes PX 5" jet black!!
I would get the PX 5ās ,& 3" base liner, anything left & Iād get the Henley. I love the pockets in the 5ās ,& I have the Pyrenees top that I canāt take off! Love your gearā¦
Iād choose the Henley. One in each color!
Iād buy a new hat (all of them are amazing). Black Sykes shorts. And a new black Henley. All my other path stuff is super durable but itās nice to have another pair when they get stinky.
Run again, run again, jiggity jig. Iād score Graves PX7 w/ Tahoe CL 8ā liners (2 liners), & Iād do it so quick. No friction, no chaffing, all so comfy and slick, I find myself asking: ādid these shorts make me quick?ā Now quick as a bird & light as a feather, I never have know a short system that pairs better ātogetherā! But a working class guy has to stagger his buying, so a sweet Ben Franklin GC would sure have me smilinā! :-)
GRAVES PX 5" SHORT And under shorts
torch fx 3", graves px 5", and the new big horn henley. Honestly I want one of each lol
GRAVES PX 5"
GRAVES PX 5"
Jet Black Graves, Tahoe liner, and one of your amazing henleys!!! I brag about your fast-wicking apparel to my friends, and I look forward to continuing the trend. Your clothes are truly amazing
Iād pick the Henley shirt and Grave shorts with the Torch briefs as a baselayer ā paired together it provides an unique and timeless look for runners!
Graves shorts and a few different liners!
The new Graves shorts!
Seriously⦠no chafe⦠do I need to say more! My first 100 miler was Umstead 100 this past April. Changed shoes⦠changed socks⦠NEVER had to change shorts (Graves PX w Tahoe liners)⦠NO Chafing in my nether regions. Thank you SO much Path Projects!
Oh man, decisions decisions. Iād go with Pyrenees hoodie and 7ā graves px short. Iād throw in a baseline on my own dime!
I would for sure pick up the two Brand new long sleeves!
Would love the Shasta liner and Graves PX combo
My girl friend loves the tops, so now Iāll need to get even more.
Sykes PX 5" short in olive grey and black, path logo heather T, unstructured hat in navy.
I would go with an extra pair of liners and a long sleeve henley.
Definitely liner, Graves shorts and the new Henley
I just got the Sykes PX 5" and love them and will definitely try the Torch FX 3" next
Never worn liners before but hear great stuff about Path Projects. Thinking Graves and Tahoe liners to try. Thanks!
Tahoe liners and Graves shorts! Love what you guys are doing. Keep it up.
Iād start with shorts and liners and I can always use another running hat.
Would love to try some of the tops, especially that new henley. I just found your shorts this year and theyāve been a game-changer!
Iād buy a pair of graves shorts and some more base liners. I love the torch liner!
Iād snag a pair of the new GRAVES PX 5" SHORT so I could stick my phone in a side pocket and not crush it while Iām using a leg machine at the gym. Because I just used the last of my running budget for the year on 4 new pairs of SYKES PX 5" SHORTā¦three days before you announced these.
I would buy the 3ā torch liner + 5ā Sykes short + pyrennes hoody!
Iād buy all of the hats! Theyāre the best!
All the component layering pieces!
I just ordered my first pair of Path shorts, and I really like them! I got the Sykes 5" shorts and I think if I won this, I would try one of the 7" pairs, probably in the Graves model line. Also, the hoody looks great too!
Definitely shorts, but also a hoodie!
Def a bunch of the new px5 for the Tokyo marathon
Definitely need to pick up another Pyrenees hoodie. Iāve worn the crap out of the one I have and it would be nice to add a new one to the rotation. Thanks!
