Darshan Rangnath Brooklyn, New York - PATH projects KREW
Originally from Los Angeles, CA, and have been living in Brooklyn, NY since 2011. I'm a marketing consultant, non-profit founder, and USATF coach. My passion for running began when I used to see my father race marathons when I was young. Also, the city I grew up in hosted an annual cycling crit which drove my passion for becoming a competitive cyclist. The New York running scene is epic, and I have been a proud member for almost a decade!
Running accomplishment(s) you are proud of
My proudest running accomplishment was coaching one of my first athletes. Outside of the mile fitness tests in high school, she had never run. One day I invited her to a run, and from then, she was hooked. Three months later, she ran her first 10K, a year after she ran her first Marathon, and now she has completed over 15 ultras.
Any races or adventures on your horizon and / or bucket list?
I would love for my first ultra to be the Burning Man 50K.
Your favorite PATH projects gear?
The PYRENEES T19 is my favorite piece for PATH. I travel throughout the year, and this shirt has become a staple for all of my adventures.
What do you enjoy about running?
The running community is what gets me out the door. Regardless of the weather or other obligations, we hold each other accountable, which I enjoy the most.
Advice for runners looking to improve?
Find a friend who shares your passion and helps you build upon your successes..
