Bill Callahan Whitesboro, NY - PATH projects KREW
I’m currently in central NY and got into running in 2015 and got serious in 2016. A former soccer player, I watched my wife run and Boston Qualify, so I got into it with a main focus of raising money for cancer research (I lost my Dad to cancer in 2011). I’m always running on the roads and am currently after running all six world major marathons under 3 hours after the age of 40. Boston, Chicago, NY and Berlin are complete and looking forward to London 2021 and Tokyo 2022! Outside of running, I’m busy at home with my wife and 3 boys ages 6, 3 and 1! I’m a member of two running clubs and serve on the Board of one. I’m also a MAF approach running coach.
Running accomplishment(s) you are proud of
Running four world majors after 40 all under 3 hours. It’s got me on the path to do all six in under 3 hours!
Any races or adventures on your horizon and / or bucket list?
London and Tokyo marathons to complete the world majors.
Your favorite PATH projects gear?
Pyrenees hoodie! In the northeast there are several days in the 40-50-degree range and it’s the perfect top for that temperature, whether it’s sunny or raining!
What do you enjoy about running?
It’s my time to relax, clear my head and take in the beautiful world around us.
Advice for runners looking to improve?
Consistency, focus and patience. A runner must get out and get the miles in while listening to their body and mind to improve. With success comes sacrifice, so if you want to take yourself to the next level, give it all you’ve got!
