Aric W. Manning Ogden, UT - PATH projects KREW
I am from Ogden, UT and professionally- the Executive Director of the Trails Foundation of Northern Utah (nonprofit). I feel extremely fortunate to have been involved with the trail running community since 2006. Whether it is running, racing, race directing, being a team manager (old Pearl Izumi Ultra team), product testing, producing the TrailManners podcast, a gear guinea pig or a volunteer- the friendships I have forged with so many amazing people will always be my greatest memories. Mountains and trails are my passions and I just feel lucky to share the trails while running with my beautiful girlfriend Sarah and our dogs Gunnar and Barrett.
Running accomplishment(s) you are proud of
Going sub 30 at the Wasatch 100. Set it as a goal early in my trail running life. About mile 75 it didn't look possible. Found a gear I didn't know I had and to this day have my favorite 25 mile running memory.
Any races or adventures on your horizon and / or bucket list?
Grand Canyon R2R2R - April 2021 Bear 100- September 2021
Your favorite PATH projects gear?
Where to begin? Pyrenees T19- Favorite piece! I wear them all the time- running, lifestyle, you name it. Tahoe CL 3” Base Liner- umm, what chaffing?Crest PX 5” Short- they do it ALL. Cascade T- nothing more comfortable...PERIOD. PATH project gear is second to none.
What do you enjoy about running?
Simplicity. You get the opportunity to explore and get away. It is just you and your passion. It's all inclusive. Its peaceful. It's quiet. I love to explore and running gives me that chance.
Advice for runners looking to improve?
Keep it simple. Remember why you do it.
Social channels you are most active on?
