Technology

TORAY PRIMEFLEX™

The flex is in the spiral yarn. This configuration gives the fabric a built-in mechanical stretch that goes to all 360 degrees of adventure. Thanks to this technology, the fabric will stretch and recover without using heavier water-absorbing elastics like Spandex. Upshot: outstanding breathability, abrasion resistance and a softer feel against your skin. All this at 40% the weight of the old school stretchy stuff. PrimeFlex is both eco and techno. The fabric is partially made from a corn-based material that uses less water during processing. There’s comfort from mile one to mile one hundred.

TRIPURE™ ELASTIC

Tripure is a high tech nano fiber that delivers incredible comfort and performance. The Benchmarks are superior stretch and recovery and fined-tuned temperature regulation. Dries quickly, anti-microbial, static free and durable beyond all normal expectations. The humble waistband gets its 15 minutes of athletic fame.

    They're not magic, but they are nice.

    Firstly, I like these and I would buy again.

    Im 177cm and 80kg, regular athletic build. Bought size M relaxed, 7inch.

    I wore them all day working at the desk and was comfortable. Went to the shops and didnt look weird. Ran the dog in the hills in the afternoon and sweated so much that I soaked them through (its 30 degrees C and high humidity today).

    If I wanted strictly running shorts without utility value then I'd get the sykes 5inch.

    On the topic of liner-less shorts, this is a personal thing. I dont like built in liners and prefer good quality underwear, so this works for me.

    Dont overthink the sizing. Relaxed are just normal. Classic must be for the slender folk.

    A medium is a medium. The upsidedown zippers are a non issue.

    If you can afford it then grab some.

    Fantastic

    I was a lined short guy but after running in pants and tights this winter (Chicago) I began to appreciate choosing my own liner. So gave these a try and they rival ANY short I have worn and I have worn A Lot as I worked in run specialty retail for 10 years. Highly rec for running and gym sessions.

    Great fit & material

    I ended up ordering the 7" regular, the 5" regular & the 5" relaxed to see what the best fit would be. I am 5'10", 33" waist, with a muscular crossfit build and ended up deciding on the 5" relaxed fit in a medium. Both of the regular fits were too tight in the thighs and didnt fit right. Overall I am really happy with these shorts. They ride up a little when running but its not restrictive or distracting.

    Ideally, a 6" short would be perfect (PS please make a 6")!
