Technology

TORAY PRIMEFLEX™

The flex is in the spiral yarn. This configuration gives the fabric a built-in mechanical stretch that goes to all 360 degrees of adventure. Thanks to this technology, the fabric will stretch and recover without using heavier water-absorbing elastics like Spandex. Upshot: outstanding breathability, abrasion resistance and a softer feel against your skin. All this at 40% the weight of the old school stretchy stuff. PrimeFlex is both eco and techno. The fabric is partially made from a corn-based material that uses less water during processing. There’s comfort from mile one to mile one hundred.

TRIPURE™ ELASTIC

Tripure is a high tech nano fiber that delivers incredible comfort and performance. The Benchmarks are superior stretch and recovery and fined-tuned temperature regulation. Dries quickly, anti-microbial, static free and durable beyond all normal expectations. The humble waistband gets its 15 minutes of athletic fame.

It features intrinsic 360-degree stretch, exceptional shape recovery, and a soft feel against the skin — all without the use of elastic yarns that retain moisture. This allows for a highly durable and breathable short that stays light and moves with you when you're focused on the miles ahead.

    Officially a liner-less shorts guy now.

    I am such a huge fan of the Graves PX shorts now. I used to aways wear shorts with built-in liners, maybe just because I was lazy. Now that I've been wearing these shorts and using my own base layers, the comfort level is WAY up and I wish I would've switched that years ago. I also just love how well-distributed the pockets are so I don't feel a huge lump in 1 pocket like my other shorts. I really don't even notice that I'm carrying anything, even when I carry a LOT. Big fan, thanks PATH!!

    5 years (and thousands of miles) in the Graves PX

    I’ve been running in these shorts pretty much exclusively since 2020 and they’ve become my non-negotiable running companions. Through rugged 100 mile ultramarathons, daily neighborhood runs, touring all over the world (I’m a pro musician), kid dropoffs and pickups, and coffee hangs; they just do what they’re supposed to do. The quality is exemplary (I’ve easily gotten 5 years of heavy wear out of multiple pairs), the look is understated and stylish, and I love the zip hand pockets; great for kid toys/ pacifiers, keys, gels, snacks, you name it. The phone-carry in the rear zip is also slept on. During ultras races, I will often forgo putting my phone in my pack because the back pocket is such a comfortable, convenient, and functional place to access it. Never take these shorts out of production please!

    Great for Running & Everyday Wear!

    Love not only the back zipped pocket for my phone, but also the two side pockets that zip. I can hold a lot of gels during my long runs. Bonus tip—these are great for amusement parks if you need your keys and phone zipped up while on rollercoasters!

    Great fabric and great fit. It took awhile to get used to the zippers on the pockets because they open by zipping up rather than down. But Path has good reasons for doing this. Also, these are just about the only pair of shorts (which I use for hiking) that have zippered side pockets.
