Technology

TORAY PRIMEFLEX™

The flex is in the spiral yarn. This configuration gives the fabric a built-in mechanical stretch that goes to all 360 degrees of adventure. Thanks to this technology, the fabric will stretch and recover without using heavier water-absorbing elastics like Spandex. Upshot: outstanding breathability, abrasion resistance and a softer feel against your skin. All this at 40% the weight of the old school stretchy stuff. PrimeFlex is both eco and techno. The fabric is partially made from a corn-based material that uses less water during processing. There’s comfort from mile one to mile one hundred.

TRIPURE™ ELASTIC

Tripure is a high tech nano fiber that delivers incredible comfort and performance. The Benchmarks are superior stretch and recovery and fined-tuned temperature regulation. Dries quickly, anti-microbial, static free and durable beyond all normal expectations. The humble waistband gets its 15 minutes of athletic fame.

    Great shorts at a great price.

    I was pleasantly surprised, but didn’t want to be.

    Purchased the Sykes on sale. Picked up two pairs in the seven inch length. I was really looking for a quality running short that had adequate storage which is harder to find than you’d think. These do. My phone 17pro fits well with no issues and there are two additional (left/right) rear zipper pockets for even more stuff. Plus, a (key) fob pocket inside the front waste band.

    My apprehension originally came from the price (to be fair, all running apparel is grossly overpriced regardless of brand). On sale however, it was time to take a shot. My initial reaction to the product was that it felt terribly cheap (think thin and weightless). With a half marathon coming up this is more or less exactly what I purchased these for.

    WOW. I was able to carry everything I needed with space to spare. The short virtually disappeared when on, moved with me and did not overheat. They have quickly become my favorite although, I’m most like going to exchange my second pair for a five inch pair so that I have different options depending on race type and time of year.

    Would I purchase again and recommend? Absolutely. I won’t ever buy them at full price but the sale helps to take some of the sting out. I’m looking forward to a productive running season in my new Path, Sykes running shorts.

    Great Pair of Running Shorts

    Love the feel of the Sykes shorts. The stretching properties are great. Good placement of pockets. I like the outer placed drawcord. When drawcords are placed on the inside of the shorts, they can bother your abs. Nice touch Path Projects. This is my second pair and will most likely buy another.

    Running shorts

    Best log distance running shorts I have ever owned. Paired with the Lynx PD. Plenty of pockets for gels, etc. And the 1st short I've worn where I am actually able to leave my phone in the back pocket with annoying jostling. Well done Path!
