The Sykes AT in Airtastic has an overall weight that is 40% lighter than the Sykes PX in Primeflex. Airtastic fabric has less stretch than PrimeFlex, so it doesn't stretch as much.

Classic fit, for athletes with an average leg size who prefer their fit not too loose and not too tight.

Technology

TORAY AIRTASTIC ™

TORAY AIRTASTIC™ Airtastic™ is a super lightweight and very high-performance nylon material. The compact mini ripstop weave of the fabric adds strength in the most efficient way possible, without adding excess weight. The flex properties in the yarn are achieved through the use of innovative spiral spinning technology, that give it mechanical stretch without the use of heavier, water-absorbing elastics like Spandex. It is also highly breathable, moisture wicking, water repellent and very quick drying.

TRIPURE™ ELASTIC

Tripure is a high tech nano fiber that delivers incredible comfort and performance. The Benchmarks are superior stretch and recovery and fined-tuned temperature regulation. Dries quickly, anti-microbial, static free and durable beyond all normal expectations. The humble waistband gets its 15 minutes of athletic fame.

We hacked running shorts

We split the running short in two: separating outer shell from base liner. The short moves without shifting the base liner, eliminating all chafing.

Field tested

For the Sykes AT 5” short, we have taken our most popular short, the Sykes PX and paired it with Toray’s Airtastic fabric. This is an ultra-light weight ripstop fabric that has an amazing strength to weight ratio.
