How to choose the best short for you?

How to choose the best short for you?

BY JENNIFER GIERMAN MAY 07, 2021

At Path Projects, we have developed a wide assortment of running shorts, to accommodate different body types and personal preferences.

Choosing the best running short for you, comes down to a few decisions:

1. choose the right fit (classic or relaxed)

2. choose your preferred pocket configuration

3. choose your ideal short length

4. choose your preferred material

Let's dive right in!

STEP 1. CHOOSE THE RIGHT FIT:

STEP 2. CHOOSE YOUR PREFERRED POCKET CONFIGURATION
SHORTS WITH 3 BACK POCKETS
1. Center back phone pocket
2. Two small back side pockets
3. Internal key pocket
SHORTS WITH 2 HAND POCKETS + 1 BACK POCKET:
1. Two front hand pockets
2. Internal key pocket
3. Center phone back pocket
STEP 3. CHOOSE YOUR IDEAL SHORT LENGTH
STEP 4, CHOOSE YOUR PREFERRED MATERIAL
Toray Primeflex™
Toray PrimeFlex is used in most of our shorts. The fabric has a built-in mechanical stretch that goes to all 360 degrees of adventure. Outstanding breathability, abrasion resistance and a softer feel against your skin.

TORAY AIRTASTIC™

Airtastic™ is a super lightweight and very high-performance nylon material. Airtastic has an overall weight that is 40% lighter than Primeflex. Highly breathable, moisture wicking, water repellent and very quick drying.

What is the difference between Tahoe CL vs Lynx PX liners? Where can I read about this. They seem a bit similar, working in preciesly the same temperature

Anker,

I heard these are really great for preventing chafing? If so, which material is best?

Tim Nolan,

Which fabric would you recommend for someone who sweats alot? I’m assuming the Airtastic. I have a 50 miler coming up in October and although the weather will be much cooler than it is now I know I’ll be sweating alot. I’m looking to stay as dry as possible.

Eric Rothrock,

@Juan, I recommend the Sykes AT 5" shorts with any length Lynx PD base liner. Alternatively the PrimeFlex material in our Sykes PX, Graves PX, Crest PX and Backbone PX works great as well. Best hot weather liner is the Lynx PD.

Floris Gierman PATH projects,

What combination of liner and short do you recommend for hot 🥵 weather. I live in El Centro, Ca. Imperial valley ( desert)?
Thank you!
