Wes Plate, Everett, WA - PATH projects KREW

Wes Plate

I grew up in the PNW and started running in 2012. I ran my first half marathon in 2014 and started running ultras in 2015. I love sharing my adventures through my YouTube channel, I’m grateful I can help inspire others.

Running accomplishment(s) you are proud of

In 2019 I completed the Moab 240 endurance run. Moving for four days with little sleep taught me that we’re capable of so much.

In May 2021 I completed the inaugural Cocodona 250. My second 200 miler, and it convinced me even more that I love this distance! (link to video)

Also, running every street in my town

Any races or adventures on your horizon and / or bucket list?

In 2022 I will run Cocodona again, and also plan to do the Triple Crown of 200s.

Your favorite PATH projects gear?

The 7" Graves PX shorts are my favorite. I love all the pockets and the fabric is comfortable yet durable. The Badlands cap is my favorite hat. It fits my large head comfortably and does a great job wicking sweat from my brow.

What do you enjoy about running?

I love seeing new places and moving through them under my own power. Whether I’m exploring new neighborhoods while running every street in my town, linking miles of logging roads, or traversing mountain trails, I get a view of my world that most people don’t experience.
