Sean Lee, Cerritos, CA - PATH projects KREW
I was born and raised in South Korea until we moved to US in 1987. I've been running since 2015 and didn't think of myself as an ultra runner until 2018 when I ran my first 100 miler, not because of the distance but because that's when I realize how much I love running. I run both roads and trails. I've been serving my running club (Forrest Runners Club) as a coach for 3 years.
Running accomplishment(s) you are proud of
Two races that I considered accomplishments are AC100 in 2018 which is my first 100 miler and Zion 100K in 2021 which I finished 1st place over all beating 37 years old and 47 years old. Yes I am older than both of them.
Any races or adventures on your horizon and / or bucket list?
I would love to run Western State, UTMB, Hardrock, Leadville... Who doesn't? I'll be pacing/Crewing at Bad Water 135 in 2021 and hopefully run the race as well in near future.
Your favorite PATH projects gear?
My favorite PATH projects gear is Sykes AT 5" short. It has everything I need and nothing I don't for a fast race. It's super light with 3 pockets for everything you need, even for your cell phone. Thanks to Sykes AT 5" short, I got my 1st place at Zion 100K in 2021.
What do you enjoy about running?
I love running because it opens a door to meet other people and gives new perspectives in life.
Advice for runners looking to improve?
Run injury free even if you have to rest and skip running for few days.
Any running or adventure videos, or have been featured in?
Social channels you are most active on?
Anything else you’d like to share to the PATH projects community?
Gotta love what your wear when you run and look good as well!
