Jamison Swift, Fridley, MN - PATH projects KREW
I started running in 2010. I picked up trail running in 2015. I did my first 100K and 100 miler in 2019. I'm also involved in the winter ultra scene (ie. Arrowhead 135) and am the race director of the St Croix 40 Winter Ultra, which is a short course, introductory race for people interested in the sport.
I'm married with three grown sons. I'm an avid biker, tech geek, and beer lover. My free time is often spent exploring and spending as much time outside as possible.
Running accomplishment(s) you are proud of
Savage 100 - First 100 miler. I made a plan and executed it better than I could have hoped for. Pacing - I love helping others achieve their goals, and I've had the honor of pacing at many different races including Tahoo 200 and Superior 100.
Any races or adventures on your horizon and / or bucket list?
Superior 100
Arrowhead 135
Your favorite PATH projects gear?
Graves PX - The pocket design is perfect for running, and hanging out afterwards.
What do you enjoy about running?
I love adventure. I want to see where I can get to under my own power. My goal is to see new things, and experiencing the world as fully as I can with the time I have.
Advice for runners looking to improve?
Enjoy what you do and look for the beauty in the world no matter where you're running. Your mental state plays as much a part of your running life as your physical state. Seek out adventure, and don't ever be too hard on yourself when things don't work out the way you want.
