Mike Sveum Las Cruces, NM - PATH projects KREW

Mike Sveum Path Projects Ambassador

I’m Mike Sveum I’m an ultra runner originally from Montana but currently living in las cruces, NM with my wife and two young kids. I’ve always been a “runner” but got into ultra running when I changed jobs and didn’t have as much excitement at work and needed an outlet for my energy. I just completed the inaugural Cocodona 250 which was such a demanding race physically and mentally.

Running accomplishment(s) you are proud of

I’ve never had a DNF. I finished my first 100 mile race in just over 20 hours. And was lucky enough to finish Cocodona 250.

Any races or adventures on your horizon and / or bucket list?

Cocodona 250 was my A race of the year. Full race recap HERE.

Your favorite PATH projects gear?

The shorts are great. I like the options to have side pockets with zip or more of the trail style with the rear small pockets, but the Pyrenees shirt is just so soft and versatile. From 95 degrees to keep the sun off or layered in 30 degrees.

What do you enjoy about running?

The challenge of going farther and faster than you did the day before.

Advice for runners looking to improve?

Just keep running. The best way to get better at running is to run, but not all training plans and mileage work for everyone.

Social channels you are most active on?

Strava and Instagram.

Anything else you’d like to share to the PATH projects community?

Such great people that supports their athletes like no other company.
